General question

I've been following a tread on a facebook group where someone has claimed UniBeast alters certain files when installing osx.
I've said that's rubbish and the only things modified are files to boot the installer, and that what is installed to hard drive is untouched OSX.
Please tell me I'm correct.

UniBeast cannot detect any drives

I've tried in UniBeast 9, 8, & 7. It will not detect any local or external drives. I get a message that it 'cannot find any HPS formatted drives'. I've tried formatting as MacOS Extended and APFS and neither work. This is occurring with both my desktop (10.12 Hackintosh) and my genuine MacBookPro 10.13.4 which is what I USED last time to create my Hackintosh.

OS X El Capitan Installer Downloaded from Apple Site is Incomplete?

I'm trying to install El Capitan onto a USB stick using UniBeast and keep running into the same problem. From a machine running Snow Leopard, I download the OS X El Capitan installer from Apple's website (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206886) and run it to have the "Install OS X El Capitan" installer show up in the Applications folder. I then try to create the bootable USB with UniBeast 6.2.0, but when I select El Capitan and press Continue, it says "Selected Mac OS X...

I have taken the following steps to try and fix this error:

* Wiped the USB, restarted and tried again
* Tried a 32gb USB
* Deleted High Sierra from applications and the trash, formatted USB and tried again

Note: I couldn't find High Sierra by searching the app store, so used this link to get to it: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-high-sierra/id1246284741?mt=12 (I note that the URL contains US, and I am in the UK.)

Previously, maybe last December, I used this MacBook...

Hi guys,

Ive seen a lot of reports of this problem, but none of them include the needed details. I hope this would help to debug this problem.

Following the report steps:
  1. UniBeast version: 9.2.0 (latest)
  2. UniBeast choices: Legacy Boot mode (as I have an intel P67 motherboard), Mojave, my 32 GB USB drive. I didnt selected ATI or NVIDIA injection (as I've never needed them in any previous hackintosh installations for this HW)
  3. USB partition scheme, GPT or MBR and size of the...

Hi!
Making the USB installer with Unibeast 8.3.1 hangs after copying files when it's installing the bootloader.
I have investigated the log and found out it said that the partition scheme of the destination disk is not correct.
I have erased my whole USB several times with both GPT and MBP scheme and the same error appeared.

Here is some info:
  1. UniBeast version: 8.3.1
  2. UniBeast choices: High sierra
  3. USB partition scheme, GPT or MBR and size of the destination partition: GPT...

The third release of Catalina has been released(15.2) and yet no uni-multi beast. I dont know what UI issues are but if this web site needs help to get them working i volunteer to help. I dont know much about what needs to be done or clover either but i am willing to learn. im sure that a lot of members with less knowledge than me need those two downloads to get their hackintosh working.

I have an Macbook air (late 2010) running High Sierra. When using UniBeast version 9.2.0 it doesn't find the new Mojave installation package besides it. Is this because I need to use an older version of UniBeast (8.3.1?) and an older OSX version (High Sierra?) for the on legacy Macbook air (late 2010)?

Creating Sierra boot drive: Couldn't copy Base System.

Hi all. For some reason UniBeast refuses to work no matter the destination.

I tried everything I have: A Sandisk 16GB USB drive, many Kingston 16 and 32 Drives, even a 8gb partition on the end of my disk. Everything throws a "Couldn't copy base system".
I tried using a USB slot from the back of my case, 2.0, 3.0 and nothing. The same error happened even when trying to install to a small partition in my hard drive.

I'm out of ideas.

Output from UniBeast.log:

Creating a UniBeast 8 and High Sierra USB does not work on Catalina

This thread is for others desperately searching for a solution to the "apfs.efi error". Simply put, you cannot make a High Sierra USB boot drive from Catalina. Why would you want to? If you are like me and own a legitimate MacBook Pro running the most current version of Catalina as well as a Hackintosh with a Nvidia graphics card that requires the alternate drivers (that have yet to be released for even Mojave...). Luckily, my Hackintosh was still running Mojave, so I was able to create the...
