I've downloaded macOS HighSierra successful (5.22 gb) but the Unibeast (8.3.2) installation failed immediately with the error message "There was an error creating your Unibeast drive: Couldn't create installer". (System: Hackintosh - Sierra 10.12.0)

At first with unibeast 8.0 i encountered the could not copy apfs.efi error.. Now with the updated to unibeast 8.1 all works but presented with could not modify plist.

It seems there is some or other issue with selecting Legacy mode in combination with a MBR usb. I give up. I think il just keep my sierra rescue usb and do an in place upgrade to new versions should I need to ever clean install on new pc's. Previous unibeast on sierra worked without issue in both GPT and MBR installs.

I successfully built a High Sierra USB stick with Unibeast 8.3.2 on my macOS 10.12 MBP, a PNY Transformer, formatted as HFS+ Journaled and partitioned with GUID Partition Map. I've booted from the stick successfully in the past, also recently, but this time with High Sierra 10.13.6 the "install macOS High Sierra" partition is not visible from Clover during boot in my current Hackintosh.

Both the "install macOS High Sierra" and "EFI" partitions are visible in Finder (first times the...

Hey all. I've been trying to sort this out for a couple months now (obviously not an expert hacker) I've gone through the troubleshooting and scoured the forums for similar issues. I've had stable builds running Yosemite, Mavericks, Sierra but High Sierra is giving me trouble.

Is there a problem because the OSX base system name and the name unibeast names the usb are the same? "Install macOS High Sierra"?

I'm trying to create this on my macbook and so far I've:

Hello Macman,

Thanks for the reply, I don't know why you have closed my previous thread ?

your answer was "i did not use the right version of unibeast" but i downloaded several times the one for "High Sierra" which is in the "Download section" of your site called 8.3.2 (you can see the picture attached).

When you unzipped this version you can see that the file is referenced with the date 2018/04/13, and in the logs that i joined in my previous messages, you also see that the clover...

Trying to create a fresh USB Boot Key with UniBeast 8.3.2. and keep getting the "Copy of apfs.efi Failed".

Using my Mac Book Pro w/ High Sierra to make the key.

Using the guide : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/unibeast-install-macos-high-sierra-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.235474/#create_unibeast

Followed all the checks / instructions @ https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/unibeast-8-troubleshooting-notes.235489/

Hey, so I tried to use UniBeast 8.1 and I got this error: There was an error creating your UniBeast drive: Copy of apfs.efi failed. I have looked all over the forum (and Internet) and I have found many resources that did not work. I looked on this thread:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/copy-of-apfs-efi-failed.237995/

and found this:

Unibeast and OS X BASE SYSTEM

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place but writing out of pure frustration, i have now used 8 different usb sticks and still cannot get Unibeast to install El Capitan on the usb, the problem is this damned OS X BASE SYSTEM keeps popping up on the desktop and stops Unibeast from installing about 8 minutes into the process. It seems this OS X BASE SYSTEM cannot be erased, cannot be partitioned, cannot be unmounted, cannot be deleted but surely someone somewhere out there must have fix for...

I get the stop sign booting to the UniBeast drive to install, and in verbose mode, I see a message along the lines of "XHC: too many ports, not enabling the remaining 11 ports". The final text gets fuzzed but I think it's the message along the lines of "still waiting on root device".

So I think the stop sign is because macOS can't find my USB stick, and I think that means the USBInjectAll kext and/or port limit patch is not set up correctly on the UniBeast stick to enable all USB ports?

My UniBeast installation (I think 8.3 or whatever the latest is) is unable to create the bootable USB drive. It displays the message that says

"Couldn't create installer"

and the .log file says

How can I continue? I am unable to go further from here. Is it a problem with the Mac OS version? I have access only to 10.7.5 "Lion".

I have a couple...
