High Sierra 10.13.6 USB stick not visible during boot

I successfully built a High Sierra USB stick with Unibeast 8.3.2 on my macOS 10.12 MBP, a PNY Transformer, formatted as HFS+ Journaled and partitioned with GUID Partition Map. I've booted from the stick successfully in the past, also recently, but this time with High Sierra 10.13.6 the "install macOS High Sierra" partition is not visible from Clover during boot in my current Hackintosh.

Both the "install macOS High Sierra" and "EFI" partitions are visible in Finder (first times the...

There aren't any strings starting with: "Product archive /Applications/UniBeast.app/Contents/Resources/Clover" in the install.log file. Hope you can help anyways. See attached file for install.log

I finally built a new system for my recording studio. Pretty common setup.

Gigabyte z370 Aorus gaming 7 mobo,
i7 8700k, 64gb ram, 980 ti, 1000 watt seasonic, Alpine ridge the card and a VisionTek 480 Pcie SSD.

After getting my USB to boot and install high Sierra, I cannot get to my unibeast to show my my VisionTek drive.

I used this drive on my old x58 rig and it worked fine. I find it odd Mac os found the drive and I was able to install high Sierra.

I have updated my bios to the...

Unibeast 8 can't create installer High Sierra

Hi there,

Following the High Sierra Desktop Guide I experience problems is step 1 and 2:

Step 1: first of all I can't download a full installer via the App Store. As a workaround I used the macOS High Sierra Patcher to download a copy. I use Yosemite and I have read somewhere that only systems with Sierra 10.12.5 and higher are able to download a full installer. Is this true?

Step 2: after selecting the USB, the High Sierra installer and the UEFI Boot Mode in Unibeast I press Continue and...

Hello,
i am a newbee but i follow your guides and always finished to have a correct configuration. I always get the stiks with the precedent version, but this time i cannot make the the stick High Sierra 10.13.6. I tried with several sticks but get nothing.
As you indicate in the "unibeast troubleshooting note" you will find attached a file which (i hope so) contained the unibeast log and the install.log.
one thing that i see, is that the version of clover is 4428, and i search on the site,...

Hey all. I've been trying to sort this out for a couple months now (obviously not an expert hacker) I've gone through the troubleshooting and scoured the forums for similar issues. I've had stable builds running Yosemite, Mavericks, Sierra but High Sierra is giving me trouble.

Is there a problem because the OSX base system name and the name unibeast names the usb are the same? "Install macOS High Sierra"?

I'm trying to create this on my macbook and so far I've:

Will RehabMan's SSDT files in my "ACPI Patched" EFI folder still work if a new Unibeast-created High Sierra OS is installed in my system? Or is it no longer needed?

Hello Macman,

Thanks for the reply, I don't know why you have closed my previous thread ?

your answer was "i did not use the right version of unibeast" but i downloaded several times the one for "High Sierra" which is in the "Download section" of your site called 8.3.2 (you can see the picture attached).

When you unzipped this version you can see that the file is referenced with the date 2018/04/13, and in the logs that i joined in my previous messages, you also see that the clover...

Hey, so I tried to use UniBeast 8.1 and I got this error: There was an error creating your UniBeast drive: Copy of apfs.efi failed. I have looked all over the forum (and Internet) and I have found many resources that did not work. I looked on this thread:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/copy-of-apfs-efi-failed.237995/

and found this:

UEFI partition on UniBeast USB not showing up in disk selection

I created a UniBeast USB using the latest version of UniBeast, a full copy of the High Sierra installer (5.23 GB), UEFI mode, and a drive with GPT. However, when I try to boot from the USB, the UEFI partition doesn't show up on the disk selection screen, so I can't boot into Clover. I doublechecked to make sure that UniBeast did, in fact, create an EFI partition with Clover on it, and it did. I've also looked through the troubleshooting guide, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong....

Unibeast and OS X BASE SYSTEM

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place but writing out of pure frustration, i have now used 8 different usb sticks and still cannot get Unibeast to install El Capitan on the usb, the problem is this damned OS X BASE SYSTEM keeps popping up on the desktop and stops Unibeast from installing about 8 minutes into the process. It seems this OS X BASE SYSTEM cannot be erased, cannot be partitioned, cannot be unmounted, cannot be deleted but surely someone somewhere out there must have fix for...

Tried using Unibeast 9.0, and it doesn't properly show text (labels and descriptions) in dark mode within Mojave. The installation also failed. I selected USB, Mojave, UEFI. Images of light and dark mode are attached as well as showing error message.

UPDATE: Disregard. There was a problem with the install file. I re-downloaded and install was fine. UniBeast still doesn't work properly in dark mode, however.
